How these guides are written
The source
The requirements as the competent authority publishes them, and the practice the office meets before it in the transactions it handles.
The scope
A procedure’s conditions, documents and period at the authority. Anything particular to one case is examined separately and answered in writing.
Updating
A guide is revisited whenever a condition or a procedure changes, and the date of its last review is stated at the head of its page.
The reference
The competent authority is the final reference for any condition or fee. A guide explains the procedure; it does not stand in for the authority.
A question the guides do not reach
Describe your case as it stands, and we answer in writing. Where the case calls for a procedure, we set out its documents and its period.
