Reference calculators
Two tools that work on your own data: the first returns the Bahrainisation rate prescribed for your activity from the authority's reference tables, and the second returns the subscription tier matching your headcount with its monthly and annual value. Neither asks for your contact details.
Bahrainisation rate calculator
Enter the activity code or an English word from its name, then the number of Bahraini and foreign staff. The calculator returns the current and required rates, the Bahrainis needed to meet it, and the effect of adding new permits.
Source: the reference tables for Bahrainisation rates and the minimum and maximum number of work permits, Labour Market Regulatory Authority. Activities indexed: 874. English names are taken from the corresponding ISIC entry for each code, and 170 of them show the parent category because the code is a Bahraini sub-code. The authority remains the final reference.
Package calculator
Enter your headcount to see the package that matches it and its monthly and annual value. If the scope of your transactions is wider than that package covers, the next one up is the right one. Government fees sit outside the subscription and are settled at the value prescribed by the relevant authority.
The tier can move up or down as headcount changes. Expertise work sits outside the subscription and a written quotation is issued for it on request.
Package matching your size: Eleven to thirty employees
What a calculator does and does not do
It computes what you enter
The result rests on the figures you type here, not on your file at the authority. Where the authority’s record differs from your entry, the result differs too.
An indication, not a decision
The Bahrainisation rate that counts is the one LMRA records against the establishment. What appears here is a calculation to help you estimate in advance.
The price is the office’s fee
The subscription figure shown is the published package price. Government fees are paid at the amount the authority sets, and the receipt is issued in the company’s name.
Nothing is sent
The calculation runs inside your browser. These figures do not reach the office and are not kept by it unless you send them in a message.
Reading a calculator result
Send the result you were shown, and we set out what it means and the procedures open to you.
